The Total Money Makeover

The Total Money makeover was the book that changed my outlook on my debt. I’ve read The Total Money Makeover at least four times in the last few years. If you’re in a lot of debt, this book will help you get it under control if you listen to Dave Ramsey’s suggestions. He discusses something that he calls the “7 Baby Steps.” They are steps to financial freedom that everyone can do. This book will help you save money and get your finances in order.

Uber

If you plan on drinking, don’t risk your life by driving, use Uber. I use Uber if I know that I will be drinking a lot when I go out. I also use it a lot when I go out of town. Sometimes I just don’t feel like renting a car. If you’ve never used Uber, try it out. Here’s a link for $5 off your first ride (New users only).

Robinhood

As my debt continues to decrease, I’m finally able to start investing a little money. Robinhood is one of the platforms that I use to invest with. They are giving all new members free stock when you sign up. Check out more info at my exclusive link.

Tailwind

Tailwind is one of two tools that I use to help with my Pinterest scheduling. It lets you see the stats of your pins. It shows you which ones have been repinned and which ones haven’t. They also have this feature called “tribes.” Tribes are another way to get your pins seen and shared by more people. If you are looking to try Tailwind, here’s a free month trial.

Earnest

Student loans can be a pain in the ass. My student loans have been a burden on my side for a few years now. Earlier this year, I reconsolidated them with Earnest. I was able to get a lower interest rate and a lower payment. Because I’m doing the debt snowball, this will save me money down the line. I’m sure that consolidating your student loans can help you save money too. For more info about Earnest, check them out here.

Lyft

I use Lyft when Uber has surge charges. In my opinion, they are just as good as Uber. Heck, in some cities they are better. Get a $5 credit if you are a new user here.

Google Drive

If you’re not utilizing Google Drive, you need to start using it immediately. Don’t laugh, but I was late on the train to this one. Now it’s one of my favorite productivity tools. You can create blog drafts, notes, spreadsheets, save pictures, and more on Google Drive.

Grammarly

If you’re a writer or a blogger, you should add the Grammarly extension to Google Chrome. Grammarly is an app that checks your grammar. If something is incorrect in a paragraph, Grammarly will highlight it and give you options to fix it. You can sign up for the free version of Grammarly here.

Airbnb

If you want to save money on your lodging, check out Airbnb. With Airbnb, you can rent people’s houses, condos, and more. The prices are usually lower than many hotels. Here’s a coupon that will save you $40 on your first Airbnb stay over $75. .box-4-multi-118{border:none !important;display:block !important;float:none;line-height:0px;margin-bottom:15px !important;margin-left:0px !important;margin-right:0px !important;margin-top:15px !important;min-height:250px;min-width:250px;padding:0;text-align:center !important;}

GoDaddy

If you are looking for a place to get a domain name, check out GoDaddy. GoDaddy has been around for a few years now. They usually have great deals on domain names. Check their site here for more info.

The 5 Day Thrifting Challenge

Next up on the list of productivity tools is something that I personally made. If you’re looking for a way to make extra money, join my free 5 Day Thrifting Challenge. I teach people how to make money with things they get from the thrift store. Sign up for the challenge here.

Credit Sesame

Credit Sesame is one of my favorite credit sites. Users can get a free credit score and so much more from them. They also give you recommendations on how to increase your score if it’s low. Use this link to create your free account today. The better that your credit is, the lower that your interest rates will be. That will help you save money in the long run.

Mastermind Group

If you have a business or a side hustle, you won’t always be motivated. Your friends and family won’t always want to hear about it either. That’s where being involved with a mastermind group will help you.  A mastermind group is a collection of people that share a common goal of motivating each other. You can talk to your group about your business and side hustles. I can’t tell you how much mine has helped me over the years. Everyone needs a few people that they can bounce ideas off of from time to time. My mastermind group understands what I’m working on and they provide a lot of support. Find about 3-4 people that are like-minded and get it started. Your business success depends on it!

Side Hustle Nation

Nick Loper is the ultimate side hustler. He has multiple streams of income including his blog, Side Hustle Nation, and podcast, The Side Hustle Show. His podcast is one of my favorites. I listen to it several times a week. His guests discuss different ideas and tips about their perspective businesses or side hustles. They will get you motivated.

Smart Passive Income

This is another one of my favorite blogs and podcasts. It’s hosted by Pat Flynn who is an entrepreneur that focuses on helping people create passive income. His podcast is full of gems. He has a couple of hundred interviews full of valuable info. He also gives you different strategies for running various businesses. Many of those strategies can help you save money and take your business to the next level.

Bluehost

If you’re considering starting a website, you can go the free route (blogger, wordpress.com, etc.) or you can become self-hosted. If you’re serious and you plan to make money with your website, I’d choose the self-hosted route. Doing that will allow you to be in full control of your site. You can create it any way that you want to. You also have the opportunity to have a custom domain. For example, if I went the free route with this site, the URL would be MyMoneyChronicles.wordpress.com. That doesn’t look good at all. Having my site self-hosted has allowed my domain to look professional. It also has given me the flexibility to grow my website the way I want to.

I recommend using Bluehost for hosting your website. They are one of the largest web hosting companies in the world. With them, you can get a free domain and a discount on your hosting. For more info, check out my step by step guide on how to make a website.

Hootsuite

Hootsuite is one of my favorite productivity tools to schedule my social media posts with. I’ve been using it to post on Twitter and Facebook for me for years.

Priceline

I love to travel. Priceline is one of my favorite travel sites. I’ve been using them to book trips since I was in college. Check out this review I did on the site a couple of years ago.

Google Flights

Google Flights is another one of my favorite productivity tools. I use it for comparing flight prices. You can view most airline prices on the site. They also show you how you can save money by changing your departure or arrival date by a day or two.

You Are a Badass at Making Money

Taylor from Tay Talks Money suggested that I check out this audiobook a couple of months ago. I’m glad she did. The author, Jen Sincero has a no-nonsense approach when she’s reading the audiobook. She goes over how she wasn’t successful in the first 40+ years of her life. Sincero struggled with low paying jobs and lived in a garage. She was able to change that by changing her mindset. If you’re in a rut right now, give this book a read or listen.

Infogram

This tool allows you to make online graphs and charts for your website. I use Infogram at least once a month when I share my debt updates.

Personal Capital

If you are looking for a place to track your money, check out Personal Capital. You can add your checking & savings accounts, credit cards, student loans and investment accounts in one place. Personal Capital gives you a breakdown of your assets and liabilities. If you’re in a significant amount of debt, those numbers may shock you the first time that you see them.

The Millionaire Next Door

The Millionaire Next Door is a book written by Thomas J Stanley. It goes in-depth about the spending habits of the wealthy. This another book that will help you save money if you apply the principles in it to your life.

Swagbucks

If you’re looking for a way to make some extra money online, you should consider Swagbucks. You can make money by doing surveys, watching videos, and more. For more info, check out my Swagbucks review.

Starting Your Amazon Side Hustle Course

If you’ve considered selling on Amazon, you should check out Sandy from Yes, I am Cheap’s course titled “Starting Your Amazon Side Hustle.” Sandy made $60,000 in three years selling on Amazon on the side. I don’t know about you, but that is pretty damn good.

Pixaby

This is one of my favorite sites to use royalty-free images. Check out Pixaby here.

Canva

Everyone is not good at photoshop. I’m horrible at it. That’s where Canva comes in. Canva is a site where anyone can create images on there. The templates are very user-friendly. This should be on everyone’s list of productivity tools.

Trip Advisor

Trip Advisor is a travel website that you can use to research things to do in different cities. You can also read reviews from other travelers on things such as hotels and restaurants.

Fiverr

If you are a freelancer, you should check out Fiverr. You can make money on the site by offering your service to people such as writing or graphic design work. If you have your own business, you can use Fiverr to find a VA or someone to help you create a logo. For more info about Fiverr, go here.

Upwork

If you’re a freelancer looking for jobs, visit Upwork. On Upwork, people can find different types of work. Many of the jobs on Upwork are for freelance writers or graphic designers.

Opinion Outpost

If you are looking for another way to make money online, check out Opinion Outpost. The site has thousands of survey opportunities. You can get cash and gift cards. Follow this link to sign up for Opinion Outpost.

Rakuten

Rakuten, formerly known as eBates, is a company that allows you to get cashback when you shop at online stores that they are affiliated with. Who doesn’t like getting money back? Some of the stores that you can earn cashback from are Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. To get started with Rakuten, go here.

Udemy

The final tool that I’m sharing with you today is Udemy. Udemy is an online learning platform where you can enroll in different causes. There are over 55,000 courses for you to choose from. People like to say that they want to learn more things, but they can’t afford to go back to school. Udemy can help you with that. They have courses for as low as $10. Check them out below.

Udemy Courses

Wow, you have just finished reading the post, 30+ productivity tools for entrepreneurs. Hopefully, you’ll find a few that can help you. I’ll probably be adding more tools to this post when they come out.

Bonus

Life insurance is something that people start to consider once they get a little older. Younger people are starting to get on the life insurance bandwagon. This post features the best life insurance for young adults.

Have you used any of these productivity tools before? What is your favorite one?
